APRIL MEDITATION PROGRAM

THEME: REJUVENATION

The theme of rejuvenation is the focus of the meditations during the month of April. The emerging Spring transports us to thoughts of rejuvenation, rebirth, and revitalization.  A renewed sense of hope and anticipation are among the gifts that Spring brings us.

Reflections on Rejuvenation

To renew and rejuvenate, free the self from negative thought patterns that most certainly have a reverberating impact on the mind, body, and spirit.  Release the stronghold of negative self-talk and the tendency to focus on the disappointments and disillusionments.  Set these aside in favour of reinforcing to the Self that which is working, that which brings you pleasure and that which you experience as blessings, however small these may seem to you in your current existence.  For indeed, that which you focus on grows!

The attraction to dwell on life’s bitter moments and to hold those dearer than the blessed ones is a thought-pattern to be aware of.  Why continue to nurse the pain?  Why continue to recount over and over again to the Self and others the infractions caused against you?  Does that serve a useful purpose in your life?  Does repeated remembering of that which was damaging bring healing?  To the extent you are in the grip of focussing on the negative, you remain in a place of fear.  Paradoxically, you remain, rooted in continuing to create that which you do not seek more of!

Rejuvenation of Self happens with letting go of what was and concentrating on what you seek from your daily existence for your mind, your body, and your spirit.  Treat this activity as creative play – thinking outside the box so to speak.  Whenever you catch yourself wandering down the path of the negative, pull-back and instead redirect your thoughts to reminisce about happier moments, uplifting experiences, laughter you shared with another, a moment of unexpected delight or surprise that you recently experienced, and so forth.  In this way, you gradually break the habit of dwelling in the hurtful experiences and instead you draw to the Self more of what is renewing to your mind, body, and spirit.

This meditation will help to re-energize and reinvigorate you through a guided visualization. Click on the link to view the guided meditation. You may wish to begin and close your meditation by playing a crystal singing bowl if you have one or a CD of crystal bowl sound. The incorporation of crystal bowl sound will, through its energy frequency, quicken your intentions towards rejuvenation.

Releasing Emotions Around Pain

The path to release of emotions associated with pain is to go through the pain and explore its meaning.  Enter the meditation seeking to gain awareness of mental and/or physical wounds, fears, and hurts you have experienced.  Allow these to surface; allow yourself to observe, without censoring or judging the sensations you experience physically in your body, emotionally in your heart and the thoughts that come to mind when you contemplate pain in your life whether physical and/or mental. The idea is to let deep seated feelings about the pain to come forth. As you enter the pain, let it speak to you about the meaning behind it. Ask yourself, could it be that you have some unfinished business? What are the emotional blockages that have created the pain?

Showering Nature with Divine Light

During this meditation put forth intentions for Divine Light to give Nature an energy boost to help her to recharge.  Visualize bands of Divine Light penetrating deep within the Earth’s core to re-energize Nature.  You may wish to begin and close this meditation by drumming or playing a crystal singing bowl if you have one or a CD of the same.

Healing Between Communities/Nations

To assist in fostering renewed, positive interactions between communities, countries/nations that mistrust each other, send forth healing energy to help build-up understanding and trust between them.
